Three days ago we registered our company, we opted for SpongeCat Media Limited. We've finalised our testing dates and will open the site to testing on Monday 8th September 2008, testing for 4 weeks.

I've got a few more things to finalise, I've added a pay option for Google checkout and Paypal.... Once we have a bank account we'll be installing our banks online system too, making it easy for you to sign up as a supporting member.

I've finally got red5 installed this week and working, its taken about 4 months on and off to get it to work... Users can access chat and watch other members via webcam, streaming from the chat server. I'm not sure what performance will be like until it starts to get used to capacity but i'm finding the cam to be suitably quick.... This should be a welcomed and popular addition to the site.

I've redeveloped the profile page pre-launch as the first version was only a place for me to test all the necessary functions. I've added some AJAX features to the profile to introduce some more interactivity.

One of the main features that I've developed is Phrwooar factor, which is a profile rating system where people that look at your profile can rate it out of 5 in terms of your phwooar factor... I think I might expand on this in the future but for now it just rates on one factor. Each user can vote for other members once, so make your vote count!

I've got a few more boring behind the scenes tweaks to continue....
