About Cockbook

Founded in September 2008, Cockbook is a Gay social networking utility that helps Gay men meet other Gay men. Cockbook is an adult orientated site and only those over the age of 18 can join and access the site. Cockbook is a fast growing global network that looks to be the primary tool for Gay men of all ages on the web for finding other men.

Product

Cockbook's simplified navigation gives users easy access to core site functions and applications. Profile, Friends, CockTools and Inbox - pages core to the user experience on Cockbook - have a prominent place at the top of the page. CockTools are applications - Ice Breaker, Who's Online, Chat, G-eospot and Tracks - are displayed in the drop down menu aloing the top.

Technology

The site has been developed in OOPHP and MySQL, we have focussed on the latest technology/techniques such as AJAX to deliver a rich end user experience. As we've used these latest technologies we have had to make some sacrifices in terms of older browser compatability. The site is tested to work on IE7, IE6, Firefox (latest), Safari (latest) and Opera (latest). The site also relies on Javascript.

Privacy

We abide by our privacy statement as posted throughout the site. We are in the process of devleoping further user specific options to set level of profile access to others, we plan to roll these out in the near future.

Adult

We are an adult site and as such we have registered with special online organisations (as outlined in our info for parents section) that monitor the site and protect access from under age web surfers. We review all photos and videos uploaded to the site and take necessary steps for violations of our terms of use.
